# Introduction

Artificial intelligence (AI) is advancing rapidly, but most access to AI models is centralized, expensive, and inaccessible for many users. Proxima AI Terminal solves these problems by providing a decentralized, terminal-based AI service, leveraging the Solana blockchain for high-speed transactions and scalability. It enables users to query AI models, perform computations, and contribute computing power—all from a simple, text-based command-line interface.
