# The PROX Token

The PROX token is the central utility token of the **Proxima AI Terminal** ecosystem, facilitating various functions:

• **AI Service Payments**: Users pay for AI computations and model queries using **PROX** tokens. This could include anything from processing natural language to running complex simulations.

• **Governance**: **PROX** token holders can vote on important decisions, such as selecting new AI models, modifying network parameters, or deciding on feature updates.

• **AI Model Training Rewards**: Users can earn **PROX** tokens by participating in the training of AI models. This can be achieved by contributing computational resources or by participating in “model training pools,” where multiple users collaborate to train a model more efficiently. As the AI model is trained and improved, those who contributed to the training process will be rewarded with **PROX** tokens proportional to their contributions.
